The Severn Graduate School of Psychiatry is part of the Severn Deanery which is the educational arm of South West Strategic Health Authority.

We are responsible for the delivery of Psychiatry education in the counties of Avon (Bristol, Bath & Weston), Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Our main workload relates to Specialist Training in Psychiatry although we also have trainees in foundation placements in psychiatry, and aspects of GP specialist training. This is an exciting time to be involved in medical education and the school is working hard to develop additional expertise in new areas such as appraisal, assessment and quality assurance within hospital and community settings.

The Head of School Dr Brian Robinson and the School team are currently based at Vantage Office Park and are supported by an experienced team of Training Programme Directors and Tutors.
